David is our CMC Director, and a dedicated High School Mathematics Head Teacher and leader with nearly 20 years of experience in teaching and tutoring.

He has taught thousands of students across all abilities, from those struggling with foundational concepts to those excelling beyond their year level.

With expertise in all courses from Year 7 to Year 12 Extension 2 (4 Unit), many of his students have achieved outstanding school and HSC results. David trains each of our coaches and oversees all lesson plans and resources.

Clarinda, wife of our Director David Luo and mother of their four children, is the Operations Manager at CMC.

She plays a vital role in managing the day-to-day operations, overseeing communication between tutors, students, and parents, and handling enrollments, timetables, make-up lessons, and resources.

Clarinda’s dedication and multitasking skills make her an invaluable asset to our team.

Steve, a former student of our Director, David Luo, excelled in the highest level of maths at school, achieving Band 6 in Extension 1 and Advanced Maths. He completed Year 11 and Year 12 Advanced Maths in just two terms, scoring 96% in the HSC.

Having completed his Bachelor of Computer Science, Steve is now working with CMC full-time to develop resources and teach at an increased capacity. He is greatly loved by our students, and we are excited to have him continue assisting them in their learning journey.

Joel, a former student of our Director, David Luo, brings four years of dedicated tutoring experience, specialising in selective school and high school mathematics.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Physics) and a Bachelor of Secondary Education, Joel maintains a distinction average.

As the leader of our Selective Schools Program, he combines a solid academic background with a passion for teaching, helping students grasp complex concepts and build the skills and confidence needed to excel. His structured and engaging approach makes challenging topics accessible and enjoyable for learners at all levels.

Ashton is another former student of our Director David Luo. He excelled in his senior years, achieving dux in multiple subjects, including HSC Advanced and Extension 1 Mathematics, with a score of 95%.

Ashton is a clear communicator and makes complex concepts easy to understand and has successfully tutored students from Year 7 to HSC.

Currently pursuing a double degree in Biotechnology and Business, he continues to apply his passion for teaching.

Josh is another former student of our Director David Luo. He excelled in Mathematics, completing his HSC Advanced and Extension 1 Maths a year ahead of his peers in an accelerated program, scoring over 90%.

During his senior years, he coached and supported younger students through his school’s tutoring program. A patient and encouraging coach, Josh brings complex concepts down to the student’s level, making them easy to grasp.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Ministry, he is passionate about dedicating his time to mentoring the next generation in Mathematics.

Gabby, a former selective school student, brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our team, having achieved over 90% in both Extension 1 and Extension 2 Mathematics.

Since graduating, she has gained valuable experience at other tutoring centres and now brings her expertise to Cherrybrook Maths Coaching, working with both primary and high school students. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and a Bachelor of Science, Gabby excels at articulating maths concepts clearly and enjoys nurturing her students’ confidence and understanding.

Her encouraging approach and dedication to seeing her students succeed make her an invaluable asset to our team.

Alyssa is a high-achieving mathematics tutor who completed HSC Mathematics in an accelerated program, scoring over 90%—Band 6/E4 in both Extension 1 and Extension 2 courses.

Her outstanding results earned her the title of Dux at her school. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and Advanced Mathematics, combining her love for maths with a strong analytical focus.

Alyssa’s passion for mathematics shines through in her teaching, and she is dedicated to passing that enthusiasm on to her students. With experience as a private tutor, she brings her expertise, energy, and exceptional communication skills to support CMC students.
